Materials

  • glue sticks
  • scissors
  • construction paper
  • markers
  • Directions

Draw the outline of a worm on pink construction paper, using the picture above as a guide. Draw an outline of the neck piece seperately. The neck piece really gives your worm a wormlike appearence. Give each kid a worm and neck piece to cut out. Glue the neck piece onto the worm's body and set the worm aside.

Use a piece of brown construction paper for the background. Draw dots and speckles on the brown construction paper with a marker so it looks more like dirt.

Cut a 3 inch strip of blue construction paper for the sky and glue it to the top of the brown piece of construction paper.

Next cut a 1.5 inch strip of green paper and snip it to make "grass". Glue this on top of where the brown construction paper meets the blue construction paper to separate the sky from the dirt.

Cut some small gray ovals and glue them onto the brown construction paper as pebbles. Cut a bigger gray circle and place it in the grass. You don't need to glue this stone to the paper and your kids will have fun moving it around in the grass.

Finally, glue the worm to the dirt area and you have finished your fantastic worm craft!
